Paul was a celebrity chef and mentor to many successful names in the food industry. Based in France, he owned many restaurants. He invented the ‘Nouvelle Cuisine’ which is less calorific than regular meals and uses only fresh ingredients. Bocuse received numerous awards throughout his career, including the medal of Commandeur de la Légion d’honneur.
Gordon James Ramsay
You would have seen him in many cooking reality shows, like Masterchef US, Hell’s Kitchen & Kitchen Nightmares. His unusual cooking skills and methods made him popular. He also owns his own chain of restaurants. Ramsay is only the third person to have won three Catey awards. He also holds a Guinness World Record for the ‘Fastest time to fillet a 10 lb fish.’
Sanjeev Kapoor
This Indian celebrity chef is an anchor and author as well. He has hundreds of cookbooks to his name. He also owns his own supply chains and restaurants worldwide. His show Khaana Khazaana is the longest-running cooking show in Asia. He was awarded The Best Chef of India’ by the Government of India for his popularity and contribution to Indian cuisine.
Thomas Keller
He is a successful restaurateur and an author. He has never had any formal training but has still managed to carve out a niche for himself. The French Laundry, his landmark Napa Valley restaurant, has won multiple awards from the James Beard Foundation, notably the Best California Chef in 1996, and the Best Chef in America in 1997.
Alain Ducasse
This chef owns many Michelin starred restaurants and culinary schools. His elegant style of cooking has made him a renowned chef worldwide. Ducasse has also opened a cooking school for the general public in Paris and another for chefs, which also works for the European Space Agency to develop astronaut meals to be taken into space.
